Fearmakers Studios
commissioned my services to compose the score for a 4 part independent
film they were creating called "Death4Told". This segment
in particular "The Doll's House" is a story about a young couple's
discovery of the history behind their newly purchased home. The goal
with the music was to create melody and sound design to match a creepy,
false sense of contentment that the main couple feels in the home.
The suspenseful tone also had to foreshadow a mysterious child-like
quality at times. This was a challenge because the movie deserved
a different style than I normally use. Much consideration and diligence
went into making sure the music cues were minimal as to not overshadow
the acting and mood, but used only to enhance them. VITC timecode
was used to syncronize every music segment and deliver precise times
for the cues. The sample on this site is from the title sequence. |
